Here at Hain Daniels we currently recruiting for a Category Analyst. 4 days a week will be based at our client in London and 1 day a week you'll work from the Fruit site in Corby.
This role acts as the link between Orchard and M&S, helping todevelop and maintain strong, professional relationships whilst deliveringtowards daily and strategic commercial objectives.
Working across categories : Prep fruit, Drinks, Desserts
On a day to day basis you will monitor and analyse sales performance,developing recommendations with the aim of increasing forecast accuracy, drivingsales, minimising waste, and maximising product availability. You will identifytrends and seek opportunities to drive the category forward and continually addvalue to both the supplier, retailer and customer.
Review performance and build an accurate and robust forecast based on customer demand, historic sales, event uplifts, seasonality etc.
Continual analysis of product area ranges to establish opportunities within trading areas to drive sales growth
Post event analysis to assess the success of promotions and work with M&S teams to determine which is the most effective mechanic by growth metric
What you will need for the role / what it will take
Competent with Excel (pivot tablets, generating reports, VLOOKUP’s, etc.)
Ability to analyse and interpret large amounts of data
Strong IT skills to develop templates and tools for all to use
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail
