GBR Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading chilled food business, recruiting for an experienced Commercial Manager with major retailer experience (the big 4) who can come in for a 3 months fixed term contract to manage current customer accounts This is a fantastic short term opportunity for a real foodie who has experience across a number of chilled lines (plus ambient & frozen lines would be beneficial) You will be an experienced National Account Executive, National Account Manager, Commercial Executive, Commercial Manager who is used to knowing the 7 Cs (Customer, Category, Country, Consumer, Competition, Company & Channel) You will have experience of developing mutually profitable business plans & Category Management principles to deliver winning solutions to meet demanding customers needs ROLE PURPOSE Maintain strong customer relationships To deliver results within key customer accounts To have the ability to step change business and customer performance To implement, negotiate and manage Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with key retailers in order to deliver mutually profitable sales growth in-line with company/customer KPI?s To share customer?s strategy and ensure alignment To be recognised as the undisputed expert in the relevant customer internally and externally SCOPE Liaising with Commercial Controller, autonomy to propose, agree and sign off retail customer Joint Business Plans (JBP's) within the agreed parameters. Liaising with the Commercial Controller lead cross functional teams KEY RESULTS AREAS Propose, agree and deliver a budgeted annual plan. Deliver of budgeted financials. Ownership of personal development. SPECIFIC TASKS Price check and minimum weekly store visits reporting back on changes to price and range Weekly Retail Report JBP ? plan formulation and ongoing tracking documents NPD meeting attendance Customer specific meetings to manage projects internally Monthly reports and weekly/month internally sales tracking Weekly and monthly forecast management to achieve accuracy targets set EPOS tracking with reports to understand change and variances Promotion management ? internal and with the customer and evaluation Deputising for Commercial Controller at Internal and weekly Retail/B2B meetings Trade spend management and negotiation for best return on investment Account plan development and implementation Claims and invoice management ? Promotion pricing SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Educated to degree level. Strong commercial acumen, confidence to make commercially sound decisions. Ability to build, lead, negotiate and conclude commercially sound customer JBP?s. Chilled food products experience across a number of product lines into a number of major retailers Experience in dealing with multiple food retailers at various (incl Senior) levels. Proactively identifies & unlocks opportunities. This position is commutable from; Retford, Mansfield, Hull, Brigg, Grimsby, Immingham, South Ferriby, North Ferriby, Scunthorpe, Messingham, Hessle, Goole, Chesterfield, Doncaster, Worksop, Newark, Lincoln, Scampton, Horncastle, Gainsborough, Rotherham, Nottingham & other surrounding areas close to these You may be currently working as a; Business Development Manager, Commercial Executive, Category Manager, Product Manager, Business Development Executive, National Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Territory Sales Manager or similar within the food industry Immediate start for the right calibre of applicant
