The Demand Planner will be responsible for working closely with the commercial teams to ensure an accurate forecast. You will have full accountability of managing key accounts. The Demand Planner will need to analyse trends, and monitor forecasts to ensure efficiency throughout the business and to ensure that financial targets are met and risks and opportunities are identified in a fast paced FMCG environment.
•Work with the Commercial, Marketing and Category team to build a strong robust promotional forecast by utilising relevant statistical tools and using market and sales information, including planned sales orders, customer contracts, inter-company standing orders, promotional activity seasonality, brand changes etc. as well as maintaining a base forecast
•Conduct analysis of sales forecasts together with marketing and finance insight
•Co-ordinate forecast updates and manage demand changes from key areas within business
•Manage new product listings as well as phasing out delisted lines in the forecast system
•Report on forecast accuracy
•Be responsible for collaboration of key customers through regular meetings with key Supply Chain contacts
What you will need for the role / what it will take
•Experience ion an FMCG environment ideally demand planning 300+ product SKU’s ideally across all trade channels.
•Able to work independently
•Ability to collaborate with NAMs to build a robust forecast
•Handling of large volumes of data
•Strong Excel experience
•Previous use of Statistical forecasting packages preferred but not essential.
