We currently have an opportunity available for an Engineering Manager to effectively lead site engineering, the maintenance teams (team of 17), Site Services (team of 4) and external contractors employed to service and maintain our cooked meats manufacturing operation in Coalville, Leicestershire.
This fantastic opportunity with give you chance to implement the group Engineering strategy and develop your own site strategy programme for the site. You will be a key member of the site senior team in delivery of capital investment and efficiency improvements in agreed timescales.
You will ensure planned maintenance, general site maintenance and engineering repair work requirements are met safely timely and in line with customer requirements to ensure that the site is 'audit ready' as standard.
To be our successful Engineering Manager, you will be highly motivated, have a "can do attitude", driven to achieve exceptional results and become a highly-valued member of the senior team.
You will have previous experience in a similar role within a FMCG business and previous engineering experience with cooked meats in a high risk food environment will be advantageous. You will furthermore have a proven track record of managing teams and be able to demonstrate diverse technical and engineering activities that you have carried out. You will hold an electrical qualification at HNC Level / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and you will be 17th edition certified. We are also looking for our Engineering Manager to hold a NEBOSH Health & Safety Certificate.
Above all, you will have the ability to develop the skill within the team, have good communication skills and a proven record in development and leadership in a fast-moving environment.
You will also have a sound knowledge of legislative and environmental controls relating to the safe use of plant and machinery and a proven track record in management and implementation of PPM based management systems and of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
