Here at Hain Daniels we are currently recruiting for an Engineering Team Manager to join our site in Histon, Cambridge. The successful candidate will co-ordinate activities of the Production Engineers within your shift to deliver improved plant performance utilising engineering best practices. You will co-ordinate activities of the shift team to deliver effective front line response to plant breakdowns driving root cause analysis and a "First Time Fix" approach to plant issues improving Mean Time Between Failure.
Through the shift team deliver plant performance improvements through moving reactive planned maintenance to proactive predictive maintenance whilst implementing continuous improvement through focussed improvement projects incorporating FMEA working with the Maintenance Technician.
The successful Engineering Team Manager will provide professional and effective engineering support to the site whilst liaising between Engineering, Production, Planning and Quality, to ensure value is added in everything you and your team carry out. The role will develop an improvement programme for all its team members to improve their relevant skill levels and facilitate application of the new skills.
The role will ensure that effective maintenance, continuous improvement and plant repairs will be progressive and be successful in assisting the site achieve its targets ensuring the plant is maintained to give the best possible product quality and efficiency results by managing both in-house and 3rd party resource.
Under guidance of the Production Engineering Manager the Team Manager and engineers will be managed to ensure activities are recorded accurately plus issues are investigated and resolved effectively delivering long term plant reliability.
Working hands on as required driving a supportive culture and team work whilst owning the shift, escalating solutions, delivering a positive engagement with their team, peers and management across departments.
What you will need for the role / what it will take
The successful Engineering Team Manager will have 5 Years plus experience in the FMCG industry in a similar role. You must have the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels in order to achieve engineering targets. Ability to represent the company in a professional and highly competent manner and able to work flexible hours as required. A positive attitude, open to change with a proactive approach and a passionate attitude to business success.
