We have a fantastic opportunity for a charismatic and engaging Host to join our Bar & Restaurant team at The Trafalgar St. James, Curio Collection by Hilton. We are currently looking for a driven and optimistic Host with a passion to deliver excellent guest experiences and make sure that our guests journey is wondrous from beginning to end. You will be able to maintain a positive outlook regardless of what challenges the shift might bring, and always look out for new ways to improve the guest experience within your department. Key Responsibilities When working as a Host you will be the main point of contact for all in-house and external guests coming to our two Food & Beverage outlets. You will also; Greet and seat all guest as they arrive Liaise with all team members to ensure swift and efficient communication and service Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all menu items and services provided and identifying opportunities for up-selling and promoting when appropriate; Ensure team members work together and communicate to provide a continuously high standard of service to our guests Report and follow up on any comments, VIP arrivals or departures as they occur Ensure all relevant feedback from guests is dealt with in an efficient manner and informed to the Restaurant Manager Key Requirements The ideal candidate is an individual who cares about providing excellent service to our guests and who can use their intuition and creativity to deliver a wondrous experience for everyone. The ability to multitask and prioritise is important, as well as the ability to work well under pressure. As a minimum we would expect you to have excellent command of spoken English and an ability to engage and connect with guests, with a creative, forward thinking approach. Flexibility to work a variety of shift patterns and a desire to provide exceptional customer service is essential. Experience within a similar environment is preferable, however we recruit for attitude rather than experience and will give you the tools to ensure you will be successful in your role.
