Staffline is recruiting for a Food Production Operative to work at a busy site in Leicester. There are morning, afternoon, and late shifts available, and typically the shift lengths range from 8 to 12 hours long. The shift length is subject to change to meet and cover business requirements. Start times are usually: 6am for morning shifts 2pm for afternoon shifts 10pm for nights The pay rate for under 25's starts at £7.70 per hour, and for over 25's the pay starts at £9.00 per hour. The site operates over 7 days so some weekend work will be required. Your time at work As a Food Production Operative, you will be working at a food manufacturing site preparing a variety of ingredients for use in the production. You will cover several duties throughout your working day, which include but are not limited to: Measuring and weighing out specific ingredients Using the machinery to mix ingredients Maintaining a hygienic and clean workspace Repeatedly lifting items that weigh between 10 to 25kg Our perfect worker Our ideal Food Production Operative is happy to work in a busy environment and can stand for long periods during their shift. You'll be reliable and trustworthy while having a flexible approach to work. You will have excellent time-keeping and organisational skills while having a great eye for detail and having a flexible approach to work. You will be doing quite a lot of lifting, mixing and carrying so we do require our workers to have an element of physical fitness. The mixes can typically weigh between 10 to 25kg, so you must be comfortable with doing this. No previous experience necessary as full training will be provided.
