My client, a leading food production company based in Ledbury are currently looking for 8 food production operatives to start work with them on a permanent basis. Working for a local award-winning business, you will be working within a food production environment where you must be aware of and maintain a high level of food safety and hygiene procedures. Your role will involve working on a production line using various processes to help in the manufacturing of food items. A high level of dexterity is required for the role as you will be expected to be keep up with the fast pace of the production line. Duties & responsibilities will include: - Operate and maintain machinery Generate product labelling ensuring accuracy Monitor and update stock levels on warehouse computer and keep strict traceability records of production Maintain a flexible approach to work to meet team based work requirements. Observe and maintain safety levels with particular attention to machinery and electrical equipment Undertake training to meet food legislation requirements. Maintain a strict level of personal and workplace hygiene As part of a team manage time and plan the schedule of work Work as part of a busy team, but also be resourceful and make independent decisions within the day's work Liaise and communicate with other co-operative teams To undertake other duties within the Manufacturing team and the wider business as deemed reasonable by the co-op Other Duties: To adhere all Company policies and procedures To undertake any other associated duties that may occasionally arise The ideal candidate must: - Participation in the running of the team and the co-operative as a whole Ability to work as part of a team and actively participate in team decision making Ability to show initiative, and to work independently without supervision Ability to take on responsibility, and complete tasks set through to the end Ability to share and exchange information with others Have proven track of experience working in food production (Quality/manufacturing/machine op) Have a very good level of English Working hours: Two shifts can be offered - Monday-Friday 6am - 2pm or 2pm - 10pm.
