A Hospital Food Service / Catering Assistant is required to work within our large facilities Client based in Headington. As a Hospital Food Service / Catering Assistant, your role will be to provide a high quality food and beverage service to the patients, whilst complying with hygiene and Health and Safety Regulations and Procedures. Duties will include: Assisting in the preparation and assembly of cold and cooked food to meet meal service deadlines, liaising with ward staff to ensure an effective and appropriate meal service Monitoring and recording food and equipment temperatures in accordance with department policy and procedure and taking corrective action where necessary Reporting and taking action on any breakdowns or damage to equipment or the fabric of the building to the Management Team. This should include accidents, fire, loss, damage, theft, unfit food or other Ensuring drinks trolley is kept fully stocked and clean at all times and cleaning ward kitchen in line with rota Ensuring all areas under your control are left clean and tidy, especially at end of shift Maintaining the highest possible standards of performance, hygiene and presentation As the ideal Hospital Food Service Assistant you will demonstrate an ability to listen and understand simple instruction, ask where unsure and pass on routine information to others. Politeness, sensitivity and respect for others, taking into account equality and diversity is required - especially in areas with public interface such as wards. These positions involve working with children or vulnerable adults and are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act.
