Food Technician / Cheese Room Manager North Norfolk Commutable from Kings Lynn, Swaffham, Cromer, Fakenham, Aylsham, Holt £28,000 - £35,000 Monday to Friday Days Our client is one of the UKs leading, self-sustainable and environmentally friendly farms, focusing on a self and energy sufficient production and process. They are currently looking for a Food Technician/Cheese Room Manager to join the team. Role & Responsibilities: Carry out and oversee cheese making process (Finance, Marketing, Wastage, Yield, Scales, Pasteurising, Recipes) Update and implement HACCP plan. Implement H&S standards. Cleaning and temperature checks. Continuous Improvement. Manage a team of up to 3 cheese room staff. Train new employees. Set up, operate and tend equipment that cooks, mixes, blends or processes ingredients, adjusting to product quality. Tasting, smelling, feeling and observing cheese samples for quality control. Test data for each batch (ingredients, temperature, test results, time cycle). Ensure correct temperature humidity, ventilation and protecting form contamination during storage. Check equipment for malfunction and adjust accordingly. Dealing with customer enquiries and fulfilling their requirements either by phone or face-to-face. Completing and updating task sheets, traceability recall sheets and other paperwork as required including up to date daily stock control records. Dealing with financial transactions. Proactively identify new business opportunities and assist in the development of new and existing product areas. Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Experience in a high-risk food production environment is highly desirable. Adaptable and willing to learn Good customer care attitude Compliant nature, with sufficient initiative to raise concerns if issues arise in the workplace. Committed to continued success of business Willing to accept responsibility and comply adhere to company procedures.
