Food Technology Teacher required at a Secondary School on the outskirts of Wigan to start in January 2020 Your new company At Hays we work with a number of schools across Wigan who exclusively partner with us for their recruitment needs. This Secondary School is based on the outskirts of Wigan and therefore easily accessible from all areas of the North West with a good reputation locally. SLT has recently approached Hays seeking a Food technology Teacher to start in January 2020 on a long term basis. Your new role You will join the school in January 2020 and be part of an exciting Technology Department. You will be teaching mixed ability classes across both KS3 and KS4 and be required to do the planning and preparation for these lessons. You will also be required to complete the marking and assessment of pupils work ensuring pupils are progressing well. You will have good behaviour management and a strong presence in the classroom. As this is a long term role you will be expected to participate in all aspects of school life including parents evenings. What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this role you must have QTS/QTLS or be a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) and have experience with teaching in the UK Curriculum up to KS4. You will have a passion for teaching Food Technology with a confident and creative approach getting the best out of your students. You will be available to start in January 2020 and able to commit on a long term basis.
