A recently established restaurant and food led garden centre chain that is seeking to expand its existing operations. Underpinned by excellent teamwork, it has a very strong customer service ethos and seeks to offer an inclusive shopping experience encompassing a large food hall, a table service restaurant together with a comprehensive garden and lifestyle offer. A general manager is required to oversee operations at the latest purpose built store that opened in October 2018. This is a key role within the business and offers an excellent opportunity to the right candidate for career development as the centre progresses. The manger will be responsible for overseeing all operations, whilst supported by the senior executive team and centre's departmental managers. Key attributes are: 1. To have relevant and proven experience of retail, ideally having worked in an independent garden centre or other retail store. 2. To have excellent people management skills. 3. To be customer focussed. 4. To have good organisational and time management skills. 5. To have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
