Head of Facilities Management - Food & Logistics £80,000 - £90,000 plus benefits (Grade C20) Nationwide, based in Manchester 2 days per week The Co-op is growing. With 2,500 stores and 12 distribution centres across the country, we have a complex retail operation, and the property team plays a key role in making sure that our colleagues, customers and members are getting the best experience in our stores. As the head of FM for Food and Logistics, you'll lead your team to make sure that our stores and depots are maintained to the highest standards and that any issues are fixed rapidly with minimum impact to our colleagues and customers. It's a big job, but it's one in which you can make a real difference in a business that puts its people at the heart of its strategy. What you'll do lead and motivate your divisional managers, providing them with the tools they'll need to successfully guide and coach their teams. You'll be a leader of leaders use data from different sources to measure contractors' performance link in and work collaboratively with category procurement colleagues to inform decision making and influence category plans for procurement be responsible for reactive maintenance for our stores and distributions centres deal with health and safety and compliance issues This role would suit people who have excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to forge meaningful relationships with partners across the business experience leading, guiding and developing large teams experience in the retail environment and a deep understanding of the complexities of a large retail operation strong analytical skills, paired with a commercial mind-set and the ability to use data to make commercial decisions a passion for delivering high standards of health and safety and compliance an innovative approach, with a talent for spotting opportunities to drive the business forward and bringing in new ideas and technology Why Co-op?
