Experienced Innovation Lead required to join UKRI working on the Transforming Food Production programme (Field-based). Your new role You will be joining the ISCF team where you will be working on the TFP programme, which is focused on establishing the UK as a global leader in the transformation of food production systems. Improving productivity, sustainability, and helping the industry move towards achieving net zero emissions by 2040. Identifying areas where the investments will stimulate establishment of novel high value production systems to position UK technologies at the forefront of new industries. Identifying technology that could be, and is being, used to increase yield and productivity, evaluating how it can be utilised across the whole supply chain assisting in the UK making the move towards achieving net zero emissions by 2040. The TFP Challenge is about helping the industry create and adopt new technology which will make food production more resilient, more productive, and more efficient. In essence it is about pulling the best ideas from our world-class research base to build the industries of tomorrow, What you'll need to succeed Familiarity with the research environment in emerging disruptive AgriFood technologies and approaches Specific experience in one or more aspects of AgriFood innovation Commercial Awareness and proven ability to manage competing priorities to deliver a complex programme to time and budget. The ability to demonstrate achievement of results through influencing skills and negotiations rather than direct control. You will be degree-educated in a subject relevant to TPP Challenge alongside a strong background in an area relating to the challenge. You will also possess a demonstrable experience of liaising with a variety of stakeholders who have competing priorities. This is a field-based role therefore you?ll need to be able to travel across the UK frequently.
