Job Title : Food Technical Auditor Job Type: Permanent Hours : 37.5 per week Job Location : UK Field based As a Food Technical Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting professional audits in accordance with established procedures, maintaining a high standard of service delivery that ensures effective customer relationships, primarily for FSSC 22000 and BRC Food along with non GFSI Food related standards. As a Food Technical Auditor, you?ll receive a salary of between £34k and £40k depending on experience , plus company car. You?ll also benefit from a 10% performance bonus, retail discount scheme, private health cover, a contributory pension scheme and life cover. YOUR PROFILE To be successful in this role, you will need extensive Food (manufacturing/retail/Environmental health) quality and certification experience. You?ll also require a n excellent working knowledge of BRC management system standards, BRC compliance and auditing techniques , HACCP/risk analysis and certification requirements. In addition to the above you?ll also need to demonstrate the following; · Must have a detailed understanding of the standards for which audits/technical reviews are being undertaken · Excellent working knowledge of management systems, standards and compliance /auditing techniques · A solid understanding of accreditation requirements · Effective interpersonal skills; able to develop good working relationships with people at all levels · Attention to detail with ability to multi-task and manage conflicting priorities · IT literate i.e. competent in the use of MS Office applications · Willingness to learn and adapt to change ? committed to continuous personal and professional development Qualifications: · First degree, or tertiary equivalent - i.e. BA/BSc, HND in Food or bioscience related discipline · Lead Auditor Qualification or ability to soon achieve · Recognised HACCP (minimum of 2 days duration with examination) · BRC Understanding Requirements Courses with Merit pass · Degree in packaging or EQIPT qualification (or benchmarked equivalent) · ISO 9001 Lead Auditor The following attributes would be desirable, but not essential; Experience of managing and leading teams Experience of HALAL, AOECS and Kosher requirements and non-food standards Already registered as a BRC Food or ISO/FSSC 22000 Auditor Experience in a range of food industry processing sectors Experience in food packaging manufacturing process Experience auditing against recognised standards ABOUT SGS SGS is the global leader and innovator in inspection, verification, testing and certification services.
