We are currently working alongside a 4 120-bedroom fresh food Hotel in the outskirts of Huddersfield who is seeking to employ an experienced Junior Sous Chef to assist the head chef & Sous in running the kitchen operation. The property is looking for the candidate to be able to lead functions within the kitchen, supporting the head chef to ensure all outlets operate successfully in accordance with the standard of the hotel and can boost the food offering. The 4 Hotel caters high-quality food in a relaxing atmosphere with simple yet satisfying menus with traditional influences. The establishment is searching for a positive and experienced Junior Sous Chef who has a stable background in working at large fresh food hotels to work a mixture straight shifts, 5 days over 7 working 40-45 hours a week. Role details · Deputise for the chef in his absence, working to achieve maximum consistency and guest satisfaction at a professional standard · Educate, train and develop junior members of the brigade · Assist in creating and costing new dishes for the menus, utilising the best of the seasonal ingredients · Work alongside the chef and senior management team to deliver the standards and practices that the proprietors require · Work alongside the Front of house team, ensuring both areas of the team are in unity · Monitoring G.P margins, stock control and wastage · Manage and maintain the health and hygiene practices of the kitchen, work to improve any areas that are lacking or need re-structure.
