Food Manufacturing Location: Derbyshire Salary: £40-50,000 great benefits Our client is looking for an exceptional Maintenance Manager/Maintenance Team Leader to join their engineering team at their state-of-the-art facility in Derbyshire. If you are looking for a position where you can use the skills you have learnt but also develop yourself further this is the ideal role. The Role: To specify, cost and manage projects. To assess capabilities (mechanical and electrical) of each maintenance technician and develop training plans accordingly. To supervise, train, and cross-train maintenance staff in all areas of the operation. To manage your team of maintenance technicians to deliver 24/7 solutions. To act as authorised deputy for the site Engineering Manager. To identify & drive lean initiatives in the maintenance department (5S, VM, LTA, AM, Kaizen) To ensure 24/7 cover is provided and managed ensuring the availability and effective performance of all site plant and equipment. To ensure all equipment, services, utilities and plant equipment is operational and meets production, legal and legislative requirements. To ensure all safe systems and procedures are adhered to at all times To work closely with the Engineering Manager To maintain building fabric and infrastructure to comply with relevant technical standards. To produce, maintain & update written reports The Person: Vocationally qualified within an engineering discipline Operationally focused with a focus on delivering results Previous management or supervisory experience within a factory environment. Have a detailed engineering knowledge of modern continuous, production processes, preferably in food production Good working knowledge of associated disciplines including Project Management, Health and Safety and Food safety. Familiar with modern maintenance and manufacturing methodologies. Excellent communication skills at all levels. Robust and flexible approach High degree of IT literacy Financially competent and experienced in the preparation and monitoring of budgets To apply please email your CV, or call for more details.
