Our food processing Client based in Northfleet is seeking a Night Shift Lead Operator.The role is permanent and works Monday to Friday 9pm to 6am (1 hours break). Counterbalance Forklift License would be beneficial. Salary: £18k with the possibility to be negotiated dependent on experience The position is suitable for candidates with a background in the food processing industry or paint, pharmaceutical etc. (Processing). Responsibilities: Health & Safety: Follow company procedures for Health & Safety Take immediate action to prevent unsafe practices and isolate and report any uncontrolled hazards Complete equipment check as required e.g. Forklift pre-usecheck Food Safety: Ensure Good Manufacturing Practice is being applied Ensure Clean As You Go is being applied Ensure the Critical Control Points identified in the Company?s HACCP plan are properly monitored and recorded. Ensure food ingredients are being handled and stored in a food safe manner and according to Co?s procedures/policy Ensure your staff follow the Company Hygiene code and maintain a high standard of personal hygiene while at work Carry out cleaning procedures according to the schedule or as instructed. Quality: Ensure the double check/sign off procedure is followed and all paperwork and labelling is completed accurately and signed by the relevant staff Carry out product testing including HPLC analysis as required Ensure that no incorrect, contaminated or degraded ingredients are used Stop production immediately and report to the Production Manager if any incorrect, contaminated or degraded ingredients are found to have been used in a blend Supervision: Supervise any temporary staff employed in production closely Ensure timesheets are completed Deputise for the production supervisor as required Production: Ensure productions are carried out according to instructions and paperwork completed accurately and signed off. Work efficiently as possible to maximise the throughput during you shift and leave the production areas and equipment in a fit state for the next shift to start. Ensure tools, ingredients and other items are correctly located when not in use. Attend meetings as required for training or other work related issues Participate in the daily production meeting when your shift allows Report any shortages of sundry items and consumables
