Production Team Leader Fresh - Food Manufacturing - various shifts available Location: Derbyshire Salary: £20-30,000 benefits Our Client is one of the world?s largest fresh food manufacturers and as such require a Team Leader with skills to match. The Production Team Leader is responsible and accountable for the manufacture of quality products which meets production needs and Customer Specification and achieves profit and performance targets. Driving continuous improvement to maximise operational effectiveness and efficiencies through the development of people, process and systems. Enhancing the group, mission, vision and values. The role: To manage and develop all team members To promote the health and safety of all staff members To be responsible for driving Health and Safety To maintain and ensure Quality, Hygiene and productivity standards are maintained in the production environment. To reduce any negative environmental impact in relation to the processes and procedures operating within your area and across the wider business To be responsible for the performance and speeds of lines with the aim of maximising line efficiency. To monitor, control and report on the product quality of your area including product entering and leaving the area and the labelling of products. To work to improve the working methods for productivity, performance and safety of the operation. To communicate regularly and effectively with the Management in order that they are fully briefed on all aspects of responsibility To be responsible for effective shift change overs which includes paper work and machinery. To effectively manage the resources to ensure minimum downtime and maximum efficiency To liaise with all appropriate departments to ensure maximum efficiency and quality. To ensure development and training of operatives/Line Controllers To support planning and implementation of the detailed daily production programme for relevant department, reporting potential variances and problems directly and promptly To follow all Company policies , procedures and work methods To be conscious of public relations and the image of the Company such that the operation is managed to uphold the presentation of the Company to visitors, customers and general public To work a proportion of overtime at weekend or end of shift as required. To attend team meetings as required and contribute to good communication between management and operatives To assist with the recruitment of Team Leaders, Line Controller/Process Operatives. To work in a manner that actively seeks to reduce any negative environmental impact in relation to the processes and procedures operating within their area and across the wider business e.g. reduction of waste, recycling etc. To effectively deal with performance management issues The person: FMCG/Food Manufacturing experience NVQ level 4 /ILM qualification Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. HACCP Knowledge IOSH Qualification Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing environment Awareness of Food Manufacturing Industry Good communication skills IT literate Good attention to detail Good organisational skills Problem solving and decision-making skills Continuous improvement approach Able to use own initiative To apply for this fantastic opportunity please email your CV, or call for more details
