Career opportunity for a QA Operative to join an expanding, modern poultry processing company near Wrexham. You will be working as part of a team who are committed to quality and improvement and producing top quality products. In the QA Operative role some of the things you will be responsible for include: Carrying out finished product checks, verifying line checks and highlighting issues Providing QA support across the site Assessing the quality of raw materials Temperature monitoring, glass and hard plastic checks Calibration and maintenance of QC equipment Investigating customer complaints and rejections and GMP in and around the factory Performing specific audits on a daily basis and internal audits as scheduled Completing and storing all required paperwork for traceability and compliance Performing microbiological sampling Ensuring the site is compliant with regard to animal welfare To be successful in the Quality Assurance Operative role you will need: Previous experience working in a food/FMCG environment Previous experience working in a QC/Control/Assurance role Experience with completing due diligence and traceability documents Good record keeping and analytical skills Strong communication skills The ability to be assertive when advising and instructing supervisors and operatives A good level of numeracy and literacy The ability to work in a slaughterhouse environment and handle live birds This is a permanent, full time position working Mon-Thur 9am-6pm and Fri 9am-5:30pm. The salary on offer is £19000/year and additional perks include a weekly factory shop, free parking, English language lessons and ongoing training.
