A popular Café style Restaurant in Sheffield is recruiting for a Sous Chef role Role: A very busy café style restaurant which is particularly busy during the warmer months is seeking a Sous Chef to assist with the running of the kitchen at the venue. Working within a team of three chefs this role will require you to cook high quality, fresh food from scratch whilst under pressure in a fast paced environment. As this is a Sous Chef position you will become involved with additional responsibilities in the kitchen including talking part in the ordering, assisting with the menu writing, supervising shifts and training the junior chefs in the kitchen. The hours of work at this cafe will generally be 9am to 5pm, five days out of seven although you may be required to work different hours on occasion. Requirements: It is important that all chefs applying for this role have been working as a Junior Sous Chef or Sous Chef in their most recent position in the kitchen. A background working in good quality, fast paced kitchens where you created all dishes from scratch onsite is essential but you must also have strong team leadership skills.
