Adecco have an exciting role just in today for a Technical Manager from the food background to join our local client on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for food safety and quality, and be the main point of contact for all external customers and enforcement bodies. You will be confident in assessing and managing technical risks and ensuring customer technical requirements are met. You will have many responsibilities in this role, some will include; Manage, effectively review, and update the Food Safety and Quality Management System, and ensure the effective implementation of the Food Safety and Quality Management system Ensure company policies, systems and procedures meet the requirements of customers, BRC and FSS standards, and company objectives and industry best practice Ensure that all operations are performed to, and all employees adhere to relevant food safety standards, and manage employee food safety and health and safety training Report KPI information to the management team, analyse data and identify trends Monitoring and initiating corrective action of any anomalies on an on-going basis and reporting in accordingly Effectively manage internal and external customer complaints Manage the Hygiene team and provides direction; ensuring the highest degree of tidiness, cleanliness and hygiene is maintained Liaise with all legislative bodies Effectively manage suppliers of services, including laundry and pest control, in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreements Liaise with the relevant internal parties on new and existing products with regards to product safety and quality consistency Maintain current accreditation's including BRC (grade AA status) Review labels for compliance Maintain product specifications to ensure up to date information is held and communicated to customers, in line with legislation Lead, manage and motivate the Technical team to perform at their best (individually and collectively) Manage the internal audit schedule and ensure corrective action is communicated to relevant departments and closed out in a timely manner Manage the internal and external calibration schedule ensuring calibration is completed by due date and certificates received Investigate out of specification results from microbiological or other testing; non-conformance's raised from internal audits Ensure Cleaning Instruction Cards are up to date, the appropriate cleaning chemicals, materials and equipment are available, and a full COSHH inventory list is maintained Manage resources effectively and in line with the annual budget Lead & participate in supplier auditing where required To be considered for this role you must have the following: Experience in a technical management role within the food industry Demonstrable track record of delivering continuous improvement in technical & food safety standards Preferably you will have successfully been audited to Grade A BRC Global Standard for Food Safety Issue 7 Experience of managing internal & external auditing processes & requirements The culture is team focused so you must be able to demonstrate a successful track record of working as part of a multi-functional team Positive, can-do attitude, and sleeves rolled-up approach Qualification - HND/Degree or equivalent Intermediate HACCP, Intermediate Food Safety Internal Auditing Qualification or equivalent Knowledge of COSHH If you feel you match the above please send your CV in today.
