Our Client is a successful Food business supplying a quality range of private label and branded bakery products into the major UK grocery multiples. They have an opening for a Technical Manager.
The ideal candidate will have responsibility for providing the required level of Technical Compliance, support and expertise which will involve liaising with all internal and external customers to ensure consumer confidence is retained. The Technical Services Manager must have a demonstrable understanding of bakery products supported with a technical understanding of ingredients and the manufacturing process and their effect on the finished product.
Implementation and management of an effective Quality Management System.
Ensure a system is in place to control and monitor services and prevent risk of non -compliance to Food Safety regulations.
Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure effective reporting of irregularities
Liaise with regulatory bodies and other outside organisations as required.
Continuously review all processes and methods used within the Company to ensure good working practice
Analyse quality data and advise site management of trends
Lead 2nd & 3rd party audits. Ensure labelling compliance
Qualification in a related discipline and/or demonstrable experience of technical operations and/or management.
FIR working knowledge, and experience
Level 4 HACCP qualification (or prepared to study for a Level 4 HACCP)
Good working (up to date) knowledge of UK and EU food safety legislation
Experienced in supplier quality assurance
Evidential experience of leading and developing a Technical team
