A long established Japanese global trading company is currently seeking to recruit a Trade Assistant within their Food Group. This role will suit an all-round flexible team player with proven treasury operations experience and the capability and mind-set to develop additional skills eg accounting and taxation. The role involves providing all round treasury operations support and finance administration for their sales departments and employees, with a focus on efficient and accurate administration skills. Training will be provided in order to develop existing experience and assist with understanding the business structure and transactions of our continental and group companies in Europe. Salary: £25,000- £28,000 per annum dependent on experience. Shift allowance of 20% Discretionary annual performance related bonus. Medical insurance and company pension. Job Type: Full time, permanent Hours of Work : Rotating pattern Monday - Friday 9:00AM - 5:00PM for two weeks Monday - Friday 9:00AM to 7:00PM for two weeks. The role requires someone who is able to remain in the office until and after the closure of the futures markets at 18:30 and to report results within the day. Additional hours as required by the needs of the business. Duties and Responsibilities include: Processing of shipping documents and data entry into ITAS (commodity data management system) database and SAP for the cocoa and sugar department. Process sugar & coffee futures market orders. Arrange daily margin money movements, issue booking forms and payment requests to the Accounts department and liaise with brokers. Arrangement of remittance payments from Cocoa and Sugar teams. Collate daily and weekly balance reports and provide to London, Tokyo HQ and Risk teams. Submit SAP customer/vendor registrations. Prepare month-end broker commission, bank charges, EMIR fees, monthly interest and option bookings reports. Report daily futures trading results to Head Quarters. Prepare quarterly service fee report for Tokyo Head Office. Preparation of accounting documents such as debit notes, credit notes, booking forms and payment requests. Hotel bookings and arranging transport Other administrative jobs for group as required such as entering sales/ purchases and commissions into SAP. Skills and Experience: Strong Excel and IT skills Good time and task management with the ability to work to tight deadlines Systematic attitude to work and processes Excellent accuracy and attention to detail Excellent customer service skills Cooperative, flexible and "Can do" attitude Accurate and proven numerical skills Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment Japanese - desirable (but not essential) SAP experience - advantageous
